The diagnosis facilities including Pathology is considered to be the backbone of  a hospital. The Central Steam Sterilisation and  Autoclave Department (CSSD) also comes under the sub-discipline Microbiology of  Pathology department. The laboratory is highly automated and uses assays that are closely monitored and quality controlled. The tests done include - General or routine chemistry, Endocrinology to do with hormones, Immunology to do with the study of the immune system and antibodies and Pharmacology or Toxicology to do with the study of drugs. Nearly all investigations are conducted in our laboratory by state of art equipment of international repute with strict quality control. Such tests are done by highly educated and experienced professionals.

The Institute also runs postgraduate professional course for training of Microbiology Lab Technicians (MLT) for students holding BSc (Microbiology) degree, since more than a decade. The students trained here have been employed in various labs in India and abroad and the education imparted has been appreciated by one and all.
