Medicine is the branch of health science concerned with maintaining human health or restoring it through the treatment of disease and injury. It is both an area of knowledge – a science of body systems, their diseases and treatment – and the applied practice of that knowledge

The practice of medicine combines both science and art. Science and technology are the evidence base for many clinical problems for the general population at large. The art of medicine is the application of this medical knowledge in combination with intuition and clinical judgment to determine the proper diagnoses and treatment plan for this unique patient and to treat the patient accordingly. Central to medicine is the patient - doctor relationship established when a person with a health concern or problem seeks the help of a physician

A complete medical evaluation includes a medical history , a physical examination , appropriate laboratory or imaging studies, analysis of data and medical decision making to obtain diagnoses, and treatment plan. The treatment plan may include ordering additional laboratory tests and studies, starting therapy, referral to a specialist, or watchful observation.

We at Rajasthan Hospitals have very senior consultant physician providing health care solutions for the public in general. The department of medicine was first to start and is functioning since 1984 i.e. the day on which the hospitals started. The facilities and treatment provided are very popular and can be gauged by the fact that on an average, the department caters to the medical relief requirements of  more than 100 outdoor patients and at any given time there more than 50  - 70 patients taking indoor hospitalised treatment. The department has round the clock availability of Senior Physicians for treating  all kinds of emergencies.

The department is ably supported by the investigation departments which includes pathology – Hematology, Serology, Pathology & Microbiology, Radiology – X. Ray, C. T. Scan, Ultrasound Sonography & I.I.TV., Cardiology – ECG, TMT & ECHO, Neurology –EMG, & EEG and other investigation departments. All such investigations are operative on all 24 hours and 365 days of the year.

The trust is a tertiary care hospital,  and therefore the patients referred to this hospital are the ones who need specialised care and treatment which cannot be provided at the primary health centers. To meet any emergency we have an emergency department, equipped and manned by personnel trained to meet all kinds of eventuality. For intensive care of patients we have a critical care unit, fully equipped with supportive and monitoring systems; here treatment is provided by intensive care specialists, round the clock. For transportation of critically ill patients the hospital has two Ambulances ready for service at all hours.
